What was the first dollar you ever earned?

I bussed tables at my Uncle’s restaurant when I was 15. I left each night with a nice wad of cash in my pocket. Pretty cool for a 15-year-old.

What’s been the most satisfying dollar (or dollars) you’ve ever earned?

Ever look at the largest percent gainers for each trading day and say to yourself, “Boy, I wish I owned that stock…?” I once bought Dyax Corporation stock a week prior to it making that enviable list. That one felt really good.

What’s your favorite way to make money?

Does it get any better (or more lucrative) than speculating on a small, off-the-radar company and getting it right? It sure doesn’t. (See above.)

What’s the best investing advice you’ve given or ever heard?

Someone once told me that the market’s will innately move in the direction against those with the weakest hands. So if you can figure out which side the dumb money is on, you’ll likely be in good shape.
