David Eller
David is a technologist that found his way into financial services. While working in Morgan Stanley’s IT department, he got his start in the financial industry after connecting with their sell-side software analyst and was invited to join his team. It was during this time he went to grad school, attending NYU’s Stern School of Business.
After some time covering software on the sell-side for Morgan Stanley and later Credit Suisse First Boston, David felt the sell-side industry was unethical so he turned to financial writing. He joined a division of Reuters in 2007 shortly before the company was bought out by Thomson. Thomson then closed his department which eventually led David to Investment U where he covers all things technology.
David has professionally covered everything from consumer technology to enterprise software, internet, electronic gaming, telecom and renewable energy.
