Glossary of Investment Terms

Investment Grade

Definition: Describes the stock of a company that has a strong balance sheet, considerable capitalization, and is recognized as a leader in its industry. In the case of a bond, it describes one that has an investment rating level within the top four categories of Moody’s or Standard & Poor’s.
