Contract Size
Definition: Contract Size or “unit of trading,” is the amount of shares subject to being purchased or sold upon the exercise of a single option contract. The standard contract size for options on stocks is 100 shares. One call option contract gives its holder the right upon exercise to purchase 100 shares of the underlying stock.
