Absolutely true. Let me tell you a little story. In those years (must have been 1984) I went to New York on a business trip. A friend of mine, who was then one of the lawyers running the insurance practice in a leading NY law firm, invited me to his home. There I met his charming wife and family. While sipping wine and talking about things in Argentina and the States I took out from my wallet a 1.000.000 australes note and gave it to his children as a present. They turned it over once and again, but could not understand that it was actual money! After telling them its worth in dollars – less than fifty bucks, if my memory doesn’t fail me - I asked them to keep it as a present, and to take a look at it when they felt that things in the States were going down the drain.
