When you look at it really we are looking at chalk and cheese when we try to compare the three major video game consoles together and we can’t. In terms of hardware the Wii is different, both in price point and technology and that’s been what made/makes it successful.Until we can see it that way then we will truly see where its at.Therefore one can say that the video game industry has two futures, Wii and PS3/360.The funny thing is that both world are playing catchup with each other .The fun gamers are trying to capture the hardcore and the hardcore is trying to capture the fun gamer.That’s the future.The future is to try to balance that so that everyone wants your console .Initially both groups have captured there initial target audience ,but that’s has not been enough the trick is now to target and capture the other people of the gaming spectrum.And the company that can do it best is where the future is at.

Time will tell who comes out on top in the videogame industry. Nintendo will HAVE to make a more powerful Wii/successor in the next year or 2, because this dated hardware can only last so long. I wonder at what point they will consider the Wii to have maxed in sales, I think it already has, and begin to decline. The lifetime sales of Wii will pass 100 million- Nintendo’s first console to do so. When all said Nintendo was out, I knew they’d come back, just didn’t know they’d come back so hugely!
