		<description>And you don&#039;t think maybe CEOs and CFOs might sometimes encourage the analysts to make low-enough estimates that the quarterly earnings thus surprise?  I&#039;m not an expert, but seems to me that any analysis of &quot;understanding earnings surprises&quot; should at least mention this game-playing aspect of managing estimates to maximize surprises.</description>
