Louis

Do you continue to believe the attached statement?

I expect Anadarko Petroleum (NYSE: APC) to be a leading energy sector acquisition target, thanks to its steadily increasing reserves and major discoveries off the coast of Sierra Leone.

If you think M&A is really going to boom in 2010 (I'm sort of on the same page as you - huge cash balances + low growth + low interest rates = deals!), you're much better off investing directly in investment banks. In particular, Lazard (LAZ) and Greenhill (GHL) would benefit enormously due to their concentrations in M&A advisory, and ancillary businesses like PE that would also thrive in a deal-heavy environment.

I am soooo new and confused about small caps and reverse mergers. I have stock in a company that was doing a reverse merger and now there are so many questions about what is happening (and what is not). Where do I start and who can I talk to?
Where can I get info for Dummies on stocks, certs, coupons, strips?

Your thoughts on Warren Buffett splitting his Berkshire Hathaway 'B' shares 50 for 1 in the near future?? Does this open the door to more institutional (brokerage houses promoting) selling given their increase in fees from the increased number of shares that can be moved?
