And it hasn't Disappointed.. As Long as you Set the Bar Low.. -I went into BF's After the Likes of the Index Guru himself, Jack Boggle said Vs Indexing , " Bal Funds Will Out performe 1 out of every 3 yrs and Only Do about the same the other 2 yrs " Thus It seemed to me? That's good enough for me Jack ! I think he regretted Letting that Little Secret out.. And BTW? He has been Right- Just compare a 60/40 Port of Indexes to the Likes of VWELX and a 40/60 to a VWINX.. So why Own 5-10 funds and Do all that Work, when can Just Own 1 to do it for you? Or I know! Costs.. Yes you will pay more to use a Bal Fund vs Indexes...But if it makes the same after their Expenses? Isn't it still worth it? And if your Like Me? We are our own Worst Enemy Investing and Managing our $...? Buy Balanced Funds and Give up having "Illusions of Grandeur" your going to Beat them.. Not in the Real World..
